Responsibilites :

A 1st level technical support specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of an organization’s knowledge and information systems. Their responsibilities span various key areas, all aimed at maximizing system availability and user satisfaction. First and foremost, these specialists provide frontline technical support to end-users. This involves promptly addressing user inquiries, resolving technical issues, and offering guidance. Their goal is to minimize disruptions and maintain optimal system performance. Service restoration is another vital responsibility. When systems encounter problems, these specialists work diligently to identify the root causes, apply fixes, and monitor systems to restore them to their normal functioning as quickly as possible.

They approach problem-solving systematically and analytically, following established procedures and timelines. This ensures that issues are resolved efficiently, reducing downtime and minimizing the impact on users and business operations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Communicate at all levels
  • Basic knowledge of OS (Windows XP-10), Browsers, MS Office suite

  • Providing initial support through the Service Desk, handling incidents and service requests from multiple channels such as phone calls, web-based tickets, chat, and email.
  • Offering guidance and assistance to end-users regarding all IT-related matters. This involves collaborating within a team to share expertise and collectively enhance performance standards.
